People who know me would never guess that my favorite part is the demolition. I’m such a "neat freak" and everything has to be just right. The demolition stage of a project is dirty, messy and just plain "icky." But I love to rip!
It is so much fun watching a project come together. The walls go up, the new kitchen and bath takes shape, the paint goes on and the floors go down. The amazing thing is the amount of work that has to be done before all of that good stuff happens.
I love watching the TV shows where they Flip This, Flip That, and renovate their way to outrageous fortunes. I find myself yelling at the TV because I know that these are reality shows that have very little to do with "reality." If it’s so easy, why isn’t everyone a multi-millionaire?
Rehabbing is hard work. Rehabbing involves a lot of risk, but it is also very rewarding.
